Brown to LaSalle in 2011
Andre Drummond wasn't the only player to forgo his post-graduate year this weekend in favor of going straight to college.
Rohan Brown, who graduated from East Catholic High School in June and was planning to attend Choate Rosemary Hall as a post-graduate next year, accepted a scholarship offer from LaSalle University.
Brown committed on Friday after visiting the Philadelphia campus on Monday and Tuesday and was set to begin classes on Tuesday.
The six-foot-five forward came out of East Catholic owning just one division II offer but managed to play his way into the Atlantic 10 after a strong summer on the grassroots circuit with his Connecticut Select squad.
Perhaps best known for the quality of his motor, Brown has a well deserved reputation for being among the hardest playing prospects in New England. He is also a high volume rebounder, versatile defender, and developing mismatch problem on the offensive end.
