The New England Recruiting Report got a chance to catch up with Burlington High School’s Joe OShea at last Sunday’s Vermont College Showcase. Despite the fact that division I college coaches weren’t permitted to attend the event, O’Shea still came out to play with the rest of the best players in the state of Vermont, and demonstrated why he is unquestionably the best player in the Green Mountain state this year. Following his last game of the night, we got…

Is it possible that Jordan Laguerre could still be flying under the radar? As well as the 6’0” guard played in July we expected to be hearing his name a lot more this month Nevertheless, for all of the information that has been pouring in over the last few weeks about scholarship offers and recruiting visits, Laguerre’s name hasn’t been mentioned as often as we would have thought. Last Sunday’s Vermont College Showcase was exactly what it claimed to be…a showcase of the top 50 college prospects in the state of Vermont, with only two or three guys missing in action. There were two other players who…

NATICK, Mass. - When Andrew Mirken lined up all the kids to put teams together for the afternoon portion of the Boston Best 40 on Saturday, he suddenly realized something: he had a few more kids than he expected. The count: 91 kids. It’s hard to believe that just a couple of short weeks earlier, the coach at the Rivers School, site of the event, was hoping to find more kids, as if even getting 40 was going to be…

UMass Dartmouth Completes Class 08-09 was a bit of a dream season for UMass Dartmouth. It is pretty safe to say that there won’t be another time this year when as many college coaches will be in the same gym at the same time in the state of Vermont. It was one stop shopping for those coaches last night as virtually all of the top players in the Green Mountain State were in action at St. Michael’s gym for Lone Wolf Athletics’ Vermont College Showcase. Even Joe OShea, who has already trimmed his recruiting list…
