The 2015-2016 prep school season was a bit of an anomaly. It was the first time since 2009 that Brewster Academy didn’t win a New England or National Championship. The Bobcats and head coach Jason Smith have stuffed the history books like no other prep school over the years. Since 2010 they’ve won four different national championships (2010, 2012, 2014, 2015) and five NEPSAC tournament championships (2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015). This year’s team will be charged with taking back…

Two years ago, Northwestern came into New England and landed arguably the region's best shooter in Aaron Falzon. On Tuesday, they returned and this time pulled out perhaps the region's best defender and perimeter rebounder. New Hampton School and Albany City Rocks swingman Anthony Gaines took to his twitter account on Tuesday to announce his commitment to the Wildcats and head coach Chris Collins on Tuesday. New England’s freshman class was ripe with talent in the backcourt at last weekend’s Elite 75 Showcase – Frosh/Soph Edition. Worcester Academy’s Quest Harris stood out as perhaps the most impactful player in the group. Dubbed “the best player on the floor” by one coach and praised by another for “scoring and getting into the lane at will,” part of what made him so impressive was that he was a two way player who showed he could make just as…

Perhaps the best overall wing at the New England Elite 75 Showcase – Frosh/Soph Edition wasn’t from New England at all. Che Evans, a 6-foot-6 swingman from Dulaney High School in Maryland made the trip to New England and lefty having made quite an impression. Evans is long, athletic and powerful. He was a man among boys attacking the rim and still bursting with potential. He handled it well, finishes around the rim and was “the total package” according to…

We’ll begin our look back at the top 2020 prospects at the recent Elite 75 Frosh/Soph with a look at the frontcourt where ironically one of the very best performers wasn’t even from New England.
