Local Products Return from Adidas Nations

Adidas Nations Global, the culminating event of Adidas' grassroots basketball season, wrapped up on Monday in Houston, Texas.

The event attracted some of the top under-19 players from around the world and divided them into eight different teams from Asia, Africa, Canada, Latin America, and then four teams made up of American players.

Those eight teams competed in a tournament during the course of the five day event while also receiving skill training from NBA coaches and participating in off-court sessions focused on global interactions, leadership, and philanthropy.

There were only 20 players in the class of 2018 selected from the United States and three of those came from New England as David Duke, Nate Laszewski, and A.J. Reeves all suited up for the USA Blue 2018 team. All three had a solid week of action as they all finished among the team's leaders in minutes played and helped them advance to Monday's third place game.

Duke averaged 9.6 points along with 3.6 rebounds while shooting 58% from the floor and 43% from the three-point line. Laszewski averaged 8.8 points on 45% shooting and 48% from three. Reeves averaged 9.2 points per game on 46% shooting from the floor and 35% from three.

Team USA 2018 Red went on to win the Adidas Nations Championship, defeating Asia Pacific in the final behind 28 points from Zion Williamson. The Red team also  included five-star national prospects Romeo Langford, Immanuel  Quickley, Moses Brown, Jordan Brown, and Quentin Grimes among others.
