NMH & CBC’s Whipple is MAAC Bound

Northfield Mount Hermon School and Connecticut Basketball Club's Calvin Whipple made a verbal commitment to Fairfield on Sunday after visiting their campus late last week.

The Stags offered just a few weeks ago while watching Whipple at the Big Apple Showcase in New York.

Whipple took to his twitter account to confirm the news Sunday night.

His commitment is the culmination of a huge summer that began in Atlanta as CBC won the open division at the Under Armour Association Finals. The next week they moved on to New York and that was where Whipple took his game to new levels and caught fire from behind the three-point line. He stayed hot to close the month out in Springfield as CBC won the BasketBull National Invitational and returned for the BasketBull Finale the following week where Fairfield continued to follow him.

Whipple played with more confidence than we've ever seen before last month and in so doing was able to take his game to unprecedented levels as he established himself as one of the best shooters in New England while also showing off a quick release, strong body, and deceptive athleticism.
