The walls were lined at Boston University's Case Gymnasium on Saturday as the gym was jam packed for the third annual New England Elite 75 Showcase – Frosh/Soph Edition. The Hoop Mountain Fall Classic took place last night at Mass Premier Courts in Mansfield. Six-foot-seven small forward Tavon Allen made a verbal commitment to Drexel on Friday while on the school’s campus for his official visit.  The story was first reported by ESPN.com. Marianapolis Prep head coach Dave Vitale announced on Thursday that he would step down effective immediately, turning the reigns of his program over to his son and previous assistant, Andrew Vitale.  Vitale took over the Marianpolis program six years ago and quickly built it into a perennial powerhouse.  In just his second season on the job he led his team to a NEPSAC Class D championship.  The following year they made the jump to class B where they have since advanced… READ MORE >

The University of Rhode Island landed their first commitment in the class of 2011 in six-foot-three swingman T.J.
