The Mass Rivals earned a hard earned victory over a talented Connecticut Select squad on Sunday to earn the u15 championship at the first ever New England Junior Elite Championships. American International College landed two more local products in the class of 2010 late last week with the additions of Braxton Gardner and Osmel Odena. Gardner, a six-foot-five forward from Christian Heritage School in Connecticut is high school teammates with Jason Perrier, who committed to AIC earlier this spring. Dramatic finishes were in high demand on Saturday afternoon and evening at the New England Junior Elite Championships as a number of contests went down to the wire. U14 - New England Playaz vs. Rhode Island Hawks Two talented teams squared off in a highly competitive game in order to claim their pool and advance to the u14 final. German swingman Niels Giffey committed to UConn on Thursday following an official visit to the school. Yale University picked up a verbal commitment from St. Louis native Javier Duren on Thursday. The commitment was first reported by Antonio Curro of NY2LASports.com.
