St. Mark’s Draws a Crowd
St. Mark's held one of their two annual fall workouts on Sunday and as usual the event drew a plethora of college coaches.
Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski, Kansas head coach Bill Self, Texas head coach Rick Barnes, Virginia head coach Tony Bennett, and Boston College head coach Steve Donahue were all front and center and were joined by high-major assistants from Pittsburgh, West Virginia, North Carolina, Michigan, Florida, Notre Dame, and Iowa.
In addition to all of the high-major head coaches in the gym there were also a wide variety of other division I programs represented.
Of course, Alex Murphy and Kaleb Tarczewski were the main attractions for the college coaches but there was plenty of other talent in action as well.
South Kent transfer Nikolas Stauskas is a high level shooter who has early high-major attention of his own while the rest of the junior class features the likes of Eric Green, Peter Kazikias, Jaymie Spears, and Eli Lubick who is already committed to Colgate.
Two incoming freshmen also made their debuts on Sunday in well known local product Jarred Reuter and Kevin Zabo, a highly talented Canadian point guard.
St. Mark's will hold their second and final fall workout on Sunday, October 3rd.
