Worcester Post-Grad Heading to America East
Worcester Academy's six-foot-six forwar Jordan Wejnert made a verbal commitment to UMBC this weekend.
The New Jersey native had only recently arrived in New England to begin his post-graduate year and quickly became a target for the America East school as head coach Randy Monroe was in the Worcester Academy gym last Sunday.
Wejnert, who ran with the Jersey ShoreShots on the AAU circuit, is a high level athlete and face-up forward who should contend for a spot in Worcester's starting line-up this year.
Wejnert is the second player to commit to UMBC in the class of 2011 joining fellow New Jersey native 5'11" guard Jarell Lane from St. Patrick High School.
