Bull Becomes a Ram
Domonique Bull has only just arrived at the Tilton School but after only two weeks of being a Ram, he’s going to stay that way for the next six years.
Bull, who will spend the next two years starring for the Tilton Rams, made an early commitment to the Rhode Island Rams on Friday.
“The style of play is for me,” Bull said. “They are an up and down type of school who like to run.”
While Bull was just beginning to generate high-major interest from the likes of Seton Hall, Miami, and UNLV, he said he believes a career at URI affords him the best opportunity to continue to develop his game.
“I play the two right now but they want me to play the one,” he said. “This will give me an opportunity to play a position where I can have the most potential at.”
Bull visited the URI campus unofficially at the end of August and came away with a clear vision of what head coach Jim Baron wants from his point guards.
“Coach Baron is a good guy,” Bull said. “He wants me to be the scoring guard but also look to get my teammates involved. He said he’s looking for high assists per game.”
Bull has been a highly touted player literally since coming out of middle school. A natural playmaker who goes hard to the rim, can create for himself and others, and has a consistently improving jump shot, Bull was one of the primary offensive threats for a BABC team that took the sixteen-and-under AAU National Championship this summer.
The Worcester native is a terrific early addition for Rhode Island and projects as an immediate contributor and impact player in the Atlantic 10.
