Boston Amateur Basketball Club is proud to announce its hosting of the 2015 George “Trigger” Burke Tipoff Tournament. The tournament will be held March 28-29, 2015 in Boston with sites including Cathedral High School, Shelburne Community Center, Tobin Community Center and more. The tournament will include boys teams across six divisions ranging from grades 7-12. Brewster Academy post-graduate guard Devon Williams made a verbal commitment to the University of Toronto on Thursday. Williams, who graduated from Worcester Academy last year, chose to head north of the border despite having division II offers on the table from Northeast 10 schools. North Andover High School junior guard Wabissa Bede went for a career high 47 points on Thursday night, leading the Knights to a 76-60 win over Haverhill. Along with the 47 points, Bede connected on 9 three-pointers, grabbed 14 rebounds, and handed out 5 assists. Vermont Academy had a "bye" in this weekend's prep school schedule and that gave quite a few of VA's top players the opportunity to take weekend visits.
