Choate’s Victor Heading West

The amount of quality talent left in the 2015 class continues to get smaller by the day. The most recent player to come off the board is Choate Rosemary Hall guard Sam Victor who saw his recruitment grow in recent months to include both division I and II schools.

Victor recently pledged to the University of Denver following a recent unofficial visit to their campus.

The six-foot-four guard began his post-grad year coming off an injury but began putting up huge numbers by the second half of the season including a 37 point performance against Cheshire Academy.

The younger brother of former Winchendon star and Yale swingman, Nick Victor, Sam came to New England from his home state of Texas and will now continue to zig-zag the country with his latest move to Colorado.

"Sam is a versatile perimeter player with good length, athleticism, skill and the I.Q. to move well without the basketball," said Choate head coach Drew Dawson. "He's very coachable, has continued to improve throughout the spring and is a good fit for Denver schemes."

The Pioneers, compete in the Summer League, and run a traditional style Princeton offense under head coach Joe Scott, a former Princeton head coach.
