Waters Transfers to ND West Haven
Four star national prospect Tremont Waters has decided to spend his senior year at Notre Dame High School in West Haven, Connecticut as was first reported by the New Haven Register on Friday.
His decision allows him to return home to live with his parents in New Haven after spending the last three years away at boarding school while starring for the South Kent School.
South Kent is part of Class AAA of the NEPSAC, the most competitive prep league in the country, and Waters had an unprecedented impact in that league as a freshman, taking over the team's starting point guard job right away and scoring his 1000th point before the end of his sophomore year. Last year he was named first team All-New England while reportedly averaging 25 points per game.
Now, he'll make the move to the CIAC and join a team that was already expected to be strong this season.
The expectation will be for Waters to be nothing short of dominant, similar to what we saw from Mustapha Heron at Sacred Heart last year, and make Notre Dame an immediate favorite to win a CIAC state championship in March.
On the recruiting front, Waters had previously trimmed his list to seven schools - Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, Indiana, Georgetown, UConn and Yale - and has upcoming official visits scheduled to Kansas, Georgetown and Indiana according to the Register.
