Wallace D1 Bound
Josh Wallace arrived at Putnam Science Academy this fall as a player that many expected would provide backcourt depth off the bench and potentially compete for a division II scholarship.
With his post-graduate season, and most recently his recruitment, now behind him following Tuesday's commitment to Maryland Eastern Shore, it's no stretch to say that Wallace exceeded all expectations.
The 6-foot-2 combo-guard ot only ended up playing a far bigger role than initially expected but also proved himself not only a better shooter but also a more than capable point guard than anyone realized at the time of his arrival.
One of his first big performances came at the National Prep Showcase in November, when he first started to capture division I attention. His production, and consequent recruitment, only grew from there as he ended up making big contributions for a PSA team that qualified for the National Prep Championships for the second consecutive season.
Wallace becomes the 5th member of this year's PSA team to accept a division I scholarship joining Kealen Ives (Rider), Andrew Robinson (Quinnipiac), Aaron Robinson (Quinnipiac) and Vincent Eze (Manhattan).
Below are highlights of Wallace's season care of Rhode Island Affiliated.
