Utah State Picks Up MCI Wing
Adam Thoseby is obviously a believer in the old saying “good things come to those who wait.”
The MCI swingman not only played through his post-graduate season but also waited patiently as months rolled by this spring.
It was undoubtedly a risk as he passed up on division II opportunities, holding out hope for his division I dream, but that risk proved worthwhile on Tuesday when he made a verbal commitment to Utah State.
Utah State began looking for another swingman just last week after signee Norvell Arnold was released from his scholarship papers. Arnold was a second team junior college All-American in 2009-2010 and considered the front runner to land the starting small forward spot for the Aggies next season.
Less than a week later and Aggies head coach Steve Morrill had both offered a scholarship to, and received a commitment from, Thoseby.
Thoseby is an athletic six-foot-five swingman who arrived in the U.S. this fall from England. A skilled southpaw who saw his role continue to increase throughout the season, Thoseby was an important contributor on an MCI team that took the NEPSAC AAA championship.
Utah State took the WAC championship this season, defeating Boise State in the conference finals to advance to the NCAA tournament.
