Seymour Earns Scholarship
Wilbraham and Monson Academy senior Sean Seymour announced his commitment to the College of Saint Rose earlier this week.
A native of upstate New York who played with Team Fredette on the grassroots circuit, Seymour's commitment brings him back close to home to play his college basketball at the scholarship level.
He wraps up his prep school career having helped the Titans to one of the best two year periods in program history having won a NEPSAC championship in 2020 and advanced to the quarterfinals of the National Prep Championship in 2022.
"Sean is as hard-working of a kid as you'll find," said Wilbraham & Monson head coach Mike Mannix. "He loves the game and put in a tremendous amount of work to get where he is now. He's a team-first player and his commitment to his team is waht makes him so special."
The son of longtime division I coach Steve Seymour, Sean is every bit as skilled, heady, and tough as you would expect. He's a potent shot-maker from behind the three-point line with a compact release, understands how to impact the game without having to take a lot of shots, and has gotten himself into the best shape of his career.
