Putnam Science Academy Wins 2023 #NPC
The annual National Prep Championship which took place this year at Clark University in Worcester, MA has come and gone.
Putnam Science Academy, led by head coach Tom Espinosa, accomplished the difficult feat of winning it in back to back years. This is their fourth National Prep Championship in total.
PSA’s four wins came against Perkiomen School (78-70), Brewster Academy (63-56), Bradford Christian (75-60), and Sunrise Christian (78-76). Alabama commit Mouhamed Dioubate earned MVP honors.
The Championship Game came down to the last possession. Sunrise Christian made a furious comeback, cutting the lead to 1 after being down by as many as 16 in the second half. Up 2, PSA was able to get the stop they needed on a block by 2025 big man Erhunmwunse Oswin.
