PSA’s Porcic Earns Scholarship
Putnam Science Academy's Dan Porcic announced his commitment to Concordia College, a division II school in New York, on Monday.
"First off I'd like to thank my family and friends for all their support they have provided me with through my basketball years," Porcic tweeted. "I'm also very thankful for my coaches at PSA and everythig they have done for me. They took a big risk on a local kid and I couldn't thank them enough."

Porcic came to PSA after starring at Putnam High School, the same school where Mustangs' head coach Tom Espinosa was once an all-state player, for two years. After one year on the regional team, he's played with the national squad for each of the last two seasons and was a part of their 2018 national championship squad.
"Dan has worked as hard as any player ever to come through our program," Espinosa said. "It wasn't easy and people will never understand what Dan went through everyday and how difficult it was to reach this achievement."
PSA's twitter account also called Porcic's scholarship "as big of an accomplishment as any we've had here at PSA!"
Porcic is a lights out three-point shooter who has worked hard to maximize his conditioning and athleticism while diversifying his overall floor game. He's become one of the best shooters in New England and proven himself capable of holding his own against high-level competition.
He is the second PSA product to accept a full athletic scholarship in as many days and the ninth overall member of their 2019 class to do so.
