NMH’s Kirk Makes Early Decision
Northfield Mount Hermon School rising senior Garrett Kirk made an early commitment to Trinity College last last week. His decision is pending admission in the upcoming early admission cycle.
Kirk came to NMH three years ago and has grown into one of the daily leaders of a program that has now won back-to-back NEPSAC AAA championships.
"One of the most coveted titles in the NMH basketball program is to be called 'the hardest worker.' Over the past three years, Garrett had made his case to wear the crown. Last year, outside of our workouts and team practices, Garrett shot over 55,000 jump shots on his own," NMH head coach John Carroll told NERR. "Trinity College head coach Jamie Cosgrove is getting an example of hard work and commitment for his other players to chase."
This spring, Kirk has brought that same approach to the grassroots circuit as he's provided constant energy and toughness for a Rise Above Basketball program that has continued to climb the ranks alongside some of New England's most competitive programs.
Kirk has good positional size and a strong, college ready, body to match his motor. He becomes both the first member of NMH's 2020 class to finalize his recruitment as well as the first member of Trinity's 2020 recruiting class.
