Mayhugh Commits to UMass
Brewster Academy & Expressions Elite big man Sawyer Mayhugh announced his commitment to UMass over the weekend.
Mayhugh began his high school career at Weston. He helped lead the Wildcats to the Division 3 North Championship Game in 2020, scoring 23 points in their semifinal win over Amesbury.
After COVID-19 lost Mayhugh the majority of his junior season, he made the decision to transfer to Brewster and reclassify into 2023. He was apart of a Bobcats squad that won the NEPSAC AAA Championship this past year.
Mayhugh competed on the Nike EYBL circuit with Expressions Elite. He was on a team that won 13 regular season games and earned the top spot in Pool D.
With this commitment, Brewster now has eight prospects who have finalized their plans to play division one college basketball next fall.
