LAB Prep Camp coming to New England
This June, there is a new basketball camp available to prepare for the June & August Elite camps, July exposure camps and July open periods. Northfield Mount Hermon head coach John Carroll & Cushing Academy head coach James Cormier will partner for the LAB Prep camp, June 18-20 at Northfield Mount Hermon.
The LAB Prep camp will provide each athlete with the tools, preparation and tips to make the best possible impression during the College Elite, Exposure Camps and NCAA open period.
The camp director, John Carroll, has coached more Ivy League players over the past 10 years than any other high school or prep coach in the country and has coached over 60 Division 1 players. He is currently the head coach at Northfield Mount Hermon School where he has led NMH to the 2016 and 2012 New England (NEPSAC AAA) Championships and three National Championship game appearances in 2010, 2013 & 2017 including the 2013 National Championship title.
Co-Director James Cormier was an assistant coach at Dartmouth College where he developed and recruited back-to-back Ivy League Rookies of the Year. He is currently the head coach at Cushing Academy where he led Cushing to the 2017 New England (NEPSAC AA) Championship.
There will be on the court evaluation from ESPN Analyst Adam Finkelstein and former Division 1 head coach and NBA assistant coach Paul Cormier.
The staff will include current and former Ivy League, NCAA Division 1 players and Division 3 coaches.
Players will receive immediate feedback during instructional drills that will emphasize expectations for college level basketball. This camp will focus on skill development and game play, but will also help athletes prepare to do perform in an evaluation environment. There will be individual feedback on court as each player will receive an evaluation after every on court session. Everything at LAB Prep will focus on the player's preparation for success at the Elite & Exposure camp and NCAA open period seasons.
