Introducing the New England Skills Academy

For over a decade the New England Recruiting Report has been in the exposure business. In that time, we've seen New England basketball reach unprecedented levels of prosperity, both in terms of the success of our teams as well as the national recognition of our individual prospects.

Often times though, there can be a thin line between exposure and being exposed. Everybody wants exposure until they realize that they aren't quite ready to earn it given the opportunity and while we always remember those who succeed, the stories of those who miss out are forgotten much more frequently.

With that in mind, we are very excited to announce a new instructional program that will help players in the region prepare for those opportunities for exposure that they so badly want.

The New England Skills Academy is a pre-season training program that strives to not only prepare players for the upcoming season but also expose them to philsophies and training techniques that they would see at the college level.

The Academy will take place at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts and consist of six sessions beginning on Thursday, November 2nd and continuing on Tuesday and Thursday evenings for the next three weeks.

The Academy will be led by Adam Ginsburg, a college coach with 20 years of experience at the division I level including the last 12 years at UMass. Coach Ginsburg has designed a curriculum that will consistent of performance training, skill development, spacial recognition, and offensive and defensive concepts.

Multiple sessions will allow for boys males and females from grades 6-12 to participate.
