Huge Weekend Approaches
Martin Luther King Jr. weekend annually brings a terrific set of basketball throughout the nation.
In New England, there's no denying that it's the biggest weekend of high school basketball of the year...and this year it's getting even bigger.
The Spalding HoopHall Classic, generally considered the nation's top high school event, returns to Springfield College and Blake Arena this weekend with local teams competing on Thursday and Friday followed by three full days of national competition from Saturday through Monday.
The inaugural HoopHall Prep Showcase will take place less than two miles away at American International College with 49 prep teams from around the United States, Canada, and Africa coming together for the nation's largest prep event.
In Boston, at Cathedral High School, BABC will host their annual Prep Classic on Saturday and Sunday featuring some of the top programs from New England and specifically NEPSAC AA.
