Hamden Hall hosting free Coaches Clinic on Sunday

Hamden Hall Country Day School will host a free coaches clinic on Sunday featuring a number of college coaches from the state of Connecticut.

The clinic will take place at Hamden Hall's Beckerman Center located at 225 Skiff Street in Hamden and is open to all high school, middle school, and travel coaches as well as hoops enthusiasts.

Sacred Heart head coach Anthony Latina will open the clinic at 2pm as he discusses fast break and transition drills. Yale head coach James Jones will speak at 2:30pm and cover quick-hitters and out-of-bounds plays.

New Haven head coach Ted Hotaling is up at 3pm and he'll discuss drills and concepts to limit team turnovers. NERR founder and ESPN recruiting analyst Adam Finkelstein speaks at 3:30 about concepts you can take from college programs and recruiting tips.

Hartford head coach John Gallagher will discuss offensive systems and culture at 4pm while Albertus Magnus head coach Mitch Oliver will cover fast break offense development at 4:30pm.

The clinic will conclude with Quinnipiac head women's coach Tricia Fabbri lecturing on special zone defenses at 5pm and Hamden Hall head coach, and former Quinnipiac associate head coach and Salem State head coach, Sean Doherty covering man defensive drills and hustle stats.

Donations are being accepted at the door to benefit Mike Papale Jr.'s "In a Heartbeat Foundation."
