Curran D1 Bound

New England Recruiting Report | Tuesday, October 6th, 2015

New Hampshire native and Notre Dame Prep forward Max Curran made a verbal commitment to Wisconsin-Milwaukee on Monday evening, sealing his place at the division I level.

A 6-foot-8 forward who graduated from Pembroke Academy, Curran flew largely under the radar locally. He played in some local AAU events with the New Hampshire Granite State Raiders and then joined the Minnesota based Team Sizzle for most of July.

It was in Las Vegas, during the final week of the evaluation period, that Milwaukee-Wisconsin first saw Curran. They became the first school to offer him a division I scholarship shortly afterward and hosted him for an official visit last month.

Curran is reportedly now the 3rd product of Team Sizzle to commit to the Panthers in the class of 2016.

He is also the 3rd Notre Dame product to commit to a division I school in as many weeks following Travis Atson (Tulsa) and Chris Baldwin (UMass).

Curran is a long and lanky face-up four-man who can make shots in bunches out to the three-point line. Physically, he's all arms and legs right now but has the big shoulders to support a nice frame once he spends some time in a college weight room.

The New Hampshire native uses his length well on the defensive end of the floor and has a very clear offensive niche at the next level as a face-up four-man.
