Where would Dunn have gone?

Where would Dunn have gone?

This was the first time in recent years that the NBA Draft didn't include a true local product in the first round. Yes, Chris McCullough, who spent his prep school years at Salisbury and Brewster Academy, was taken late in the first round by the Brooklyn Net, but it wasn't until the Nets selected Pat Connaughton, subsequently trading him to the Trail Blazers, that we heard the name of a true New England native. That wasn't always expected to be… READ MORE >

Worcester Academy unsigned senior big man Nick Pasquale came off the board on Thursday with a commitment to hometown Assumption College. The news was tweeted by both Worcester Academy head coach Jamie Sullivan and assistant coach Dan Sullivan. The 6-foot-11 southpaw big man had been consistently recruited at the division I level for the better part of the last two years, but was limited by injuries throughout most of his senior season. He joins his Worcester Academy teammate Jeff Spellman,… READ MORE >

NBA Draft Preview

The 2015 NBA Draft takes place Thursday night in New York and as usual NERR has a full preview, New England style. While this year's draft doesn't have quite the same local flavor as some previous years, neither in the lottery or with the overall depth of potential New England products hoping to hear their name called, there are still a few familiar faces that could come across the T.V. The first is Massachusetts native Pat Connaughton, who previously starred… READ MORE >

The Cushing Academy swingman landed four new offers and landed even additional calls last Monday, the first day rising juniors were permitted to be contacted by college coaches. That rush of recruitment is the latest in what has been a succesful spring for the Rhode Island native beginning with his first season in the EYBL followed by a spot in the Nike… READ MORE >

The NBA Player's Association Top 100 Camp wrapped up on Saturday at the University of Virginia and by the time it was all said and done all three of New England's representatives had shown what they were capable of. Hamidou Diallo and Omari Spellman both lived up to the hype they generated early in the week, culminating with spots on the camp all-star team, while Bruce Brown wound up setting a camp high with 6 steals in a single game.… READ MORE >

A few recent commitments have come via the Little East Conference. Western Connecticut State University has a pair of incoming guards who could make quite a formidable backcourt tandem in Maloney High School's Tracy Rumley and Williston Northampton's Kieran Hamilton. The six-foot Rumley had a decorated high school career in the city of Meriden, beginning his career at Platt before spending his final two seasons at Maleony. He averaged over 17 points and nearly 5 rebounds per game as a… READ MORE >

Travis Atson, who spent his junior season at South Kent, will transfer to the MacDuffie School for his final season of eligibility. Atson came to New England from Christ the King High School in New York before reclassifying at South Kent and was recently mulling a move back to his original 2015 class before deciding to remain in the class of 2016 and finish his prep career at MacDuffie.
