Woodstock’s Kemp D1 Bound
Woodstock Academy wing Jamon Kemp announced his verbal commitment to Southeastern Louisiana on Friday.
Kemp, the son of former NBA All-Star Shawn Kemp, is a similarly exceptional athlete who plays up near the top of the box.
He took to his social media accounts to announce his commitment.

Kemp is the eighth member of Woodstock's 2020 class to accept a full athletic scholarship thus far and the second in the last week.
Expectations were high for Kemp coming into the year but he was derailed by a mid-season injury and remained farther under-the-radar than expected as a result.
"SLU is getting a darn good player who has the ability to play off the bounce and is a better shooter than people think. Jamon is a dude with a high floor and a high ceiling because of his athletic capability. He has Rookie of the Year potential in that league," said Woodstock Academy head coach Jacque Rivers while also crediting SLU assistant coach Jordan Brooks with doing such a good job recruiting Kemp.
Below are highlights of Kemp's season at Woodstock.
