Personal Statement
I am a type of player who plays to their strengths. I use my athleticism to my advantage by playing above the rim offensively and defensively. I can shoot the ball behind the arc but I can also drive and get to the rim and finish through contact. I'm an unselfish player. I love to pass the ball and create easier shots for my teammates. I would love to further my basketball career at the collegiate level. I see myself as a player with great potential and room for improvement. I'm an unfinished product and my skill level will progress as time goes on.
Recommendation
"I had the chance to scout Clayton throughout his high school career at New Lebanon where he was a dominant player in his small school classification. It was clear that he needed to be changed and his decision to play a post-graduate season was in his best interest. His size, strength, and athleticism set him apart in high school. He has the ability to face-up and shoot from an extend long-range with consistency and put the ball on the floor and attack with his drive. Clayton is athletic and can finish around the rim with authority. He takes contact and can complete plays. He also rebounds, shot-blocks, and hustleas each time I see him. He is, no question, a collegiate prospect and, in the right program, will impact both ends of the court."

Scouting Report
Erickson has both physical tools and an emerging skill-set that both clearly translate to the next level. He's naturally strong and only going to keep filling out. He's a good vertical athlete who can elevate for emphatic finishes and blocks alike. Offensively, he has a naturally soft touch that extends out to the arc when his feet are set as well as the ability to straight-line drive to both sides. He's a good passer within the flow of the offense and a potential mismatch problem down the road as he continues to harness his unique combination of power, skill, and athleticism. His physicality serves him well on the glass where he can start the break himself or throw pinpoint long outlet passes. His ability to throw long, baseball style, passes is also a very unique skill.
