Twin Towers are Big Story at NEHF
The Jaguars Elite scored two wins on Saturday as their “twin towers” stole the show by dominating the interior of both games.
Playing in the u15 pool, which typically equates to high school freshmen, eighth graders Jeremy Miller and Jarred Reuter were absolutely dominant.
It was no surprise to see Reuter doing his thing as the eighth grader has already made a pretty big name for himself in a relatively short amount of time. It was more of the same on Saturday as he finished everything down low with his strong body, rebounded consistently on both ends, and had a good sense of positioning to secure loose balls.
Miller is a guy who we’re just beginning to learn about after the six-foot-eight eighth grader was held out of the recent Junior Elite 75 because of an illness and so we were anxious to get a look at him today. He towered over the competition and scored easily down low throughout the day. He did a good job of keeping the ball high and not bringing it down, and showcased a soft touch off the glass. He also ran the floor quite well. As only an 8th grader he oozes potential and if he can stretch his shooting range farther from the hoop…watch out.
