Tarczewski Enjoys Kansas Visit

Kaleb Tarczewski, the eighth ranked player in the national class of 2012, took advantage of a brief break in St. Mark’s schedule to take an unofficial visit to Kansas this weekend.

The seven-footer arrived on Saturday in time to see Kansas knock off inner-state rival Kansas State in front of a sold-out crowd at Phog Allen Fieldhouse.

Tarczewski was joined on the visit by three other Jayhawk recruits in Nino Jackson, Perry Ellis, and Zach Peters, who has already committed to Kansas in the class of 2012.

Following the game the recruits were able to spend time with Kansas head coach Bill Self on Saturday night.

“Coach Self and I just had a regular conversation when we talked,” Tarczewski told the Jayhawk Slant.  “We were hanging out and having a good time together.”

Tarczewski currently holds scholarship offers from the likes of Arizona, Boston College, Georgetown, Indiana, Michigan, Providence, Stanford, UConn, USC, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, and West Virginia, but Kansas was one of the first schools to go hard after the New Hampshire native as they have been actively recruited him for over a year now.

Although Tarczewski’s visit was obviously nothing short of a huge success, he still plans on seeing other campuses.

“Oh yes, I definitely plan to take some more visits,” he told the Jayhawk Slant.

And while Tarczewski has yet to come out with a formal list, it has become pretty obvious that Kansas is one of the leaders for one of the most coveted big men in the country.

“My visit to Kansas was a huge success,” he told the Slant.  “I really had a great time.”
