Super 16 Showcase Preview

Quinnipiac University will once again be the site for the Super 16 Showcase, which has hosted over 100 college coaches in each of its first two years, and promises to do so again this year with the event’s most talented line-up of teams ever. 

Virtually all of the top AAU/grassroots programs in New England will be on hand as the New England Playaz, Connecticut Basketball Club, Expressions Elite, Mass Rivals, Bay State Magic, Middlesex Magic, Metro Boston, Maine Gold, MB Nation, Boston Warriors, Rhode Island Hawks, Connecticut Select, Connecticut Elite, Granite State Jayhawks, Lone Wolf and others will take to the court. 

This year’s event will feature more talent from outside the region than ever before including the New York Panthers, New Heights, New Jersey ABC, BTI Pump n’Run, Upstate Elite, and Mid-Atlantic Select.

The nation’s top ranked rising junior Andre Drummond will make his only appearance during the first half of the live period as he is expected to be in action with his Connecticut Basketball Club squad following a gold medal performance with the Team USA at the FIBA u17 World Championships in Germany. 

Drummond leads a long line of New England’s most prized recruits who are expected to be in action including Alex Murphy, Kaleb Tarczewski, Khem Birch, Ricardo Ledo, Naadir Tharpe, Kuran Iverson, Noah Vonleh and others. 

Top individual talent from out of state is expected to include Kadeem Jack, Shaquille Thomas, Maurice Harkless, Sterling Gibbs, Jermaine Sanders, Luke Piotrowski, Kenyatta Smith, and others.
