STM Guard has Final Four

St. Thomas More senior guard Bryon Allen recent returned from a visit to Siena College last week.  Siena is one of four schools that the guard is currently considering as Oregon, Boston College, and Providence.

Allen spoke with SNY's Adam Zagoria over the weekend.

"It was a pretty good visit, nice campus and everything," Allen told Zagoria.

At Siena Allen would have the opportunity to step right in and replace departing senior Ronald Moore in the starting line-up.  Siena has not only made consecutive appearances in the NCAA tournament but also won a game in both years.

This year Moore teams with another St. Thomas More product, Edwin Ubiles, to have Siena once again on top of the MAAC Conference standings and potentially looking for another run in the NCAA tournament.

If Allen were to join the Saints' recruiting class, he would only add to an already strong group.  In fact, ESPNU rated Siena's early signing period class as tops in the MAAC with St. Mark's forward Melsahn Basabe and swingman Trenity Burdine from Reading High School in Pennsylvania both signing their National Letters of Intent.

But Allen's commitment to the Saints is far from a formality as he told Zagoria he is planning on visiting all four schools before signing in April.

"I'm still open.  I'm taking more visits to Oregon, Boston College and Providence," Allen said.  "I don't have any dates set up yet."
