Some Incoming 2026’s to Monitor for Rankings
With the conclusion of our updated 2026 state-by-state ranking series yesterday, we wanted to take a look at some guys who most certainly have a shot at making the next iteration.
All of the players listed below were recruited to New England to play their senior seasons or return for a postgraduate year of development, which hopefully leads to more college opportunities down the line.
Let’s take a look.
Grant McDuffie - South Kent is getting one of the shiftiest players out of Georgia to pair with Chris Birden. McDuffie has a unique skill set off the dribble, getting past defenders with ease and making tough finishes at the rim. On the defensive end, he works tirelessly and looks to elevate his teammates' games on the offensive end with his decision-making. So far this summer, he has received an offer from Alabama A&M and will look to add to this list in the winter.
Nick Hailey - Hailey has been having a strong spring with Top Shots on the Under Armour circuit and is looking to continue this in the winter for Phillips Academy. Coming to New England from North Carolina, Hailey is a guard who has size at 6 '6 and can knock down tough catch and shoot jumpshots. He can rebound well on both ends of the floor and guard 1-5 with his large frame. As the fall quickly approaches scholarship schools are expected to be heavily monitoring.
Colton Crowdis - Born and raised in Toronto, Crowdis has already started to make a name for himself in the states before his upcoming season with Bridgton Academy. On the offensive end, he is a dynamic ball handler and can get to his spot to knock down tough jump shots at a high level. Defensively, he is tough and causes many turnovers. Crowdis should start to see offers rolling in if he continues his impressive play.
Jake Nosek - The 6’8 wing out of Illinois is another exciting prospect to look out for. Joining Cushing Academy in the fall, Nosek can hit NBA-range threes as well as use his size in the post for crafty finishes. His passing ability will be big in the Penguins' offense, and defensively, he can block shots at a high rate in the post. He currently holds an offer from Eastern Illinois and will hope to see more as the season progresses.
Brady Wooley - The incoming Choate post grad and Yale commit is ready to make some noise in New England. After dominating the high school scene in Minnesota, Wooley will bring size at 6’9 with a blend of athleticism to the Boars lineup. He gets to good spots on the court that allow him to get easy buckets at the rim and can knock down catch-and-shoot jumpshots from behind the arc. Rebounding is another specialty in his game as he creates a ton of second-chance points on the offensive end.
Jack Seiders - Coming off of a stellar senior season in Texas where he averaged 19 points and 7 rebounds on 53% shooting, Seiders is looking to make a name for himself at Darrow this upcoming season. Standing at 6’7 he has good athleticism that allows him to finish well at the rim and grab boards with a purpose. On the defensive end, he blocks shots and can guard bigger players. Seiders holds offers from McNeese State as well as Bethune-Cookman and is hoping to see that list grow as the season starts.
Hudson Scroggins - Another Illinois star coming to New England, Scroggins stands at 6’7 and uses his size well on both ends of the floor. After seeing him at Elite 75 in June, he continued his strong play during the NEPSAC Showcase with KUA. He can finish through contact from bigger defenders and blocks shots at a high rate. The IQ that he possesses was also noteworthy as he took high percentage shots. Recently picking up a scholarship offer from Valparaiso, he should be adding to this list as the season continues.
Atticus Richmond - The recent Columbia commit is ready to finish off his high school career in Boston at The Newman School. Joining a high-powered Cardinals team, Richmond brings size and skill to their roster. At 6’8 he can shoot the ball at a high rate from deep while also being an effective downhill scorer. After a great summer with the Illinois Wolves, he will continue to get college ready and compete for a National Prep Championship this winter.
Wesley Waddles - A major NEPSAC Showcase standout for New Hampton, Waddles has been off to a great start here in New England. At 6 '6 he is elite at getting downhill and attacking the rim aggressively. He can finish at the rim through contact at a high rate. Waddles has shown glimpses of shooting ability, but can really make an impact as a playmaker. On the defensive end, he works tirelessly, guarding 1-5 and causing many turnovers as a result. The California native has picked up an offer from Maine and will look to add to that list as time goes on.
Ethan Ostane - After a productive spring with Team New England on the MADE Hoops Circuit, Ostane has started to see offers roll in. Picking up opportunities from Fairfield, Stony Brook, and Iona, Ostane will look to add to this list at Putnam Science Academy next year. Ostane has a natural ability to score the ball, whether it be a smooth pull-up jumpshot or getting downhill and being a crafty finisher over bigger defenders. The New York native is also an athletic defender, forcing opponents to the baseline and blocking shots.
Brayden Harris - Macduffie is getting a high-caliber player out of San Jose, California, who will look to have an immediate impact as soon as he gets on campus. On the offensive end, he can score at all three levels, getting downhill and finishing over bigger defenders, as well as getting to his spot and taking smart knockdown jumpshots. As the season approaches, we expect to see Division 1 schools monitoring the incoming scorer.
