NMH’s Moses Ivy Bound
Northfield Mount Hermon big man Prince Moses announced his verbal commitment to Brown University on Sunday.
The Louisiana native ran with Nike Pro Skills during the EYBL and has had wide-ranging recruitment over the years, with offers and visits as high as the Big Ten and Big East.
The 6-foot-8 big man is broad and powerful with a 32-inch vertical and undeniable physicality inside the paint. He averaged 12.5 points and 8.5 rebounds this season for an NMH team that went 28-10 while advancing to the semifinals of both the NEPSAC AAA tournament and National Prep Championships.
While Moses' primary value lies on the interior, he has made great strides to his face-up game this season and become a more versatile offensive threat in the process. He's now a more consistent free-throw shooter and even capable of knocking down an open three from the top of the key.
"Prince Moses is committed to personal improvement and development. He shot 71% from two and had 13 double-doubles this year," NMH head coach John Carroll said. "Brown is getting a player ready to make an impact on day one, but one who is also committed to improving his game day in and day out."
Moses is the third member of NMH's 2020 class to commit to an Ivy League school and the program's 38th Ivy pledge since 2007.
He is the fourth local prep product to commit to Brown in the class of 2020 as he joins his NMH teammate Zach Taylor, Pingree big guard Felix Kloman, and Cushing Academy forward Malachi Ndur.
