NMH’s Chamberlain Makes Pick

Northfield Mount Hermon senior forward Simon Chamberlain has announced that he will play his college basketball at Carleton University in Canada.

Chamberlain is a Canadian native who has spent the last two years at Northfield Mount Hermon but will now have a chance to return closer to home and play for a program with an incredibly proud basketball tradition.

He announced his decision via his twitter account.

Under the direction of head coach Dave Smart, who also has a long history with the Canadian national program, the Ravens have won U Sports national championships in seven straight seasons. Their roster also includes the likes of former New Hampton School forward Eddie Ekiyor, who was recruited at the high-major level during his days in the NEPSAC.

Chamberlain is a six-foot-seven forward with a pure shooting stroke who should be able to offer minutes at both forward positions, help to stretch the floor, and be good in the team's offensive structure.

"Carleton is getting a shot hunter from the moment Simon steps into a game," NMH head coach John Carroll said. "He can change the shape of a game in a few possessions thanks to his three-poitn shooting ability."

He becomes the seventh member of NMH's 2018 class to finalize his plans for next season.
