New Hampshire 2024 Rankings

After the conclusion of the spring/summer grassroots season last weekend, we thought it was time to start putting out state by state rankings for the class of 2024, ultimately ending with New England as a whole. As always, these rankings are updated throughout the season as we get more eyes on players around the region. They also do not yet include players in the class who have just transferred in from other parts of the country.

Here’s a first look at the top five players in the state of New Hampshire’s class of 2024 rankings…

Coming in at New Hampshire’s first two spots is the Brewster Academy duo of Jeremiah Jenkins and Gabe Grant.

Jenkins is a 6’0” point guard who is most known for his all-around quickness and electric mobility with the ball in his hands, but he also maintains composure and sets the pace of play. He was already turning heads early on, earning MVP honors at the Hoop Group Future All-American Camp the off-season following his freshman year. He has also been a leading contributor on one of the top prep teams in the country at Brewster, earning a spot on the Lakes Region All-Stars list both of the past two seasons. He recently committed to Brown University, despite receiving offers from UMass, Boston College, and others. Jenkins competes for Expressions Elite on the Nike EYBL Circuit.

Grant is a 6’10” forward who is known for his determination and hard work, despite already attracting interest from some of the top collegiate programs. His size and length are a huge bonus, but he also impresses with his mobility, athleticism, and willingness to play with a motor. He makes a point of playing with as much energy as possible, and he keeps this same mentality when training, working out, conditioning, and just practicing. He received an offer from St. John’s early on, as well as interest from the likes of schools including Arizona State, Clemson, DePaul, Florida State, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Miami, Pepperdine, Syracuse, Virginia, Washington, and more. Grant competes for the Baltimore Basketball Club (Team BBC) on the Adidas Gauntlet Gold circuit.

The number three spot on the list is filled by Kimball Union Academy 6’8” forward Joshua DeCady. He already played a big role on Kimball Union this past season, being one of only two players from KUA to earn All-NEPSAC Class-AA Honorable Mention, and one of only ten from the class of 2024. He has received offers from Bryant, Maine, Merrimack, New Hampshire, Fairfield, Manhattan, Northern Illinois, Stony Brook, DePaul, Binghamton, Iona, Hofstra, Robert Morris, Northeastern, North Carolina A&T, Loyola MD, St. Bonaventure, Le Moyne, George Mason, Chattanooga, and Quinnipiac. DeCady competes for Crown Basketball in the Hoop Group Showcase League.

Coming in at fourth is another Brewster Bobcat in 6’4” guard David Ayles. He has a high basketball IQ, showing comfort and stability with the ball in his hands. He also has a strong body, and he uses it to his advantage. He has received an offera from Columbia, as well as interest from Penn, Brown, Longwood, Navy, and Stonehill. Ayles competes for Team New England in the Hoop Group Showcase League.

Closing out the top five on the list is New Hampshire’s top scorer in Bedford High School 6’3” guard Luke Soden, who is known for his lethal pull-up jumper and slashing ability. He also rebounds well for his size and plays with a ton of energy. In addition to leading all of New Hampshire in scoring last year with 28 points per game on 53% from the field, he also averaged 7 rebounds and 3 steals per game. He earned First Team All-State NHIAA Division I for his performance this past season, during which he led Bedford to a State Championship. This past summer, he has earned recognition for his performance at multiple camps/showcases with Middlesex Magic in the HGSL circuit.

Finishing the top ten, at sixth on the list is New Hampton 6’9” forward Oscar Edelman. Just this month, he was named on two of Hoop Group’s lists of showcase top performers, including the Atlantic City Jam Fest and Summer Jam Fest. He has received an offer from Manhattan. He is followed by Brewster Academy 6’6” shooting guard Harris Jackson at seventh and Pinkerton Academy 6’1” guard Drew Brander at eighth. Finally, the top ten are closed out by St. Paul’s School 6’5” wing Mason Blondeau at ninth and Pinkerton Academy 6’7” forward Jackson Marshall at tenth.

Stay tuned as we continue to release our 2024 rankings in the next week.
