New England Thriving
One of the primary goals of the New England Recruiting Report is to help promote the high quality of basketball played within our region. Too often the teams and players in our region don’t get the respect they deserve and are passed over in favor of our peers from bigger media markets including New York, New Jersey, Baltimore, and others.
Well that is getting harder and harder to do as New England is proving themselves in a big way.
There may not be another region in the country that can boast the same quality of individual talent in the classes of 2012 and 2013, and beyond just the individual players, our respective teams are proving themselves at an unprecedented rate these days.
Take a look at just some of the results that New England programs put up this past month playing in highly competitive events:
July 8th – New England Playaz go to semi-finals at Adidas Invitational
July 9th – Connecticut Elite 16u wins Gauchos Roundball Classic
July 10th – Connecticut Basketball Club wins Basketbull First Eight

July 12th – Granite State Jayhawks win Hall of Fame National Invitational

July 30th – Mass Rivals 16u win Double Pump Best of Summer Silver Bracket

While much of the attention is on college exposure during the month of July, the New England Recruiting Report wanted to draw attention to the collective success that all of our players and programs have had over the last month…proving, yet again, that New England takes a back seat to no one.
