Master’s Zene makes early Ivy pledge
Master's School junior forward Quron Zene announced his verbal commitment to Columbia University as part of their 2021 class on Wednesday night.
Columbia initially offered Zene last August and continued to recruit him throughout the course of the year.
He announced his decision via his twitter account.

Zene has played on the Master's varsity team since he was in the 8th grade and has had a decorated four-year career with still another year of eligibility remaining. This year he averaged 10 points and 12 rebounds per game while shooting just shy of 40% from the three-point line.
"I'm just happy that what we spoke about in the 8th grade is now a reality because of the hardwork that he put in," Master's head coach Tobias Ceasar said. "Quron is a special player in terms of his work-ethic, being a team first guy, and role model for younger kids. It has been a joy coaching him since the 8th grade and watching him grow on and off the court."
Zene is the fourth member of New England's 2021 class to commit to a division I school.
