Laszewski Wins & Local Products Shine at National Competitions
The American Family Insurance High School Slam Dunk and 3-Point Championships took place on Tuesday in San Antonio, Texas as a precursor to this weekend's NCAA Division I Final Four.
Of the eight high school seniors selected to participate in the three-point contest from around the country, four were from the New England region in Northfield Mount Hermon's Nate Laszewski, St. Andrew's Cole Swider, Milton Academy's Cormac Ryan, and Brimmer & May's A.J. Reeves. Other competitors included Maryland commit Aaron Wiggins, Penn State commit Myles Dread, Michigan State winner Foster Loyer, and Casey Tuttle, who won the fan vote to participate.

Laszewski took the championship, which aired live on CBS on Tuesday afternoon.

Canterbury School's Emmanuel Ansong represented New England in the dunk contest after winning several rounds of fan voting. He competed against Villanova signee Brandon Slater, Syracuse signee Jalen Carey, USC signee Kevin Porter, LSU signee Emmitt Williams, and Iowa State signee Talen Horton-Tucker among others. Ansong remains unsigned in the class of 2018.
