Langaas Makes Pick

A year after delivering one of the best recruiting classes in the NESCAC, Trinity College head coach James Cosgrove continues to make his mark on the local recruiting landscape.

His latest prize is Liam Langaas, a six-foot-three swingman from York High School in Maine.

Langaas’ senior season at York was preceded by a breakout summer on the exposure circuit as he began the month of July by turning in a starring performance at Hoop Mountain’s Super Week II and continued to play well throughout the month with his MB Nation AAU squad.

Langaas’ recruitment rose in correlation to his summer production as he ended up with division II interest and offers before ultimately deciding to attend Trinity next year.

“The combination of excellent academics and very competitive basketball is what helped me make my final decision,” he said.  “I look forward to playing for Coach Cosgrove and for a program that has high ambitions for the near future.”

At York, Langaas is a four year letter winner in both soccer and basketball, and has been both a captain and all-conference selection in both sports since his junior year.

Langaas is a tough and hard-nosed swingman who is best known for his competitive nature, high basketball I.Q., and ability to make shots from behind the three-point line.
