Kolek Earns a Full Ride
St. Andrew's School post-graduate and Cumberland High School alum Brandon Kolek accepted a full athletic scholarship from Franklin Pierce College on Thursday.
Kolek, a product of the Middlesex Magic grassroots program, confirmed his decision via twitter.
"I'd like to thank my family, the Middlesex Magic, and especially Coach Mike Hart for helping me on this journey," he said.

Kolek had a decorated career at Cumerland, finishing as the school's all-time leading scorer and earning first-team all-state honors in the RIIL. He got off to a relatively slow start this fall at St. Andrew's, but took his game to new levels with each passing month during the course of the season, and ended up playing a key role for the Saints as they advanced all the way to the NEPSAC Class A Finals.
A high level shot-maker from behind the three-point arc with good positional size, Kolek became a much more versatile and balanced player over the course of the last year.
Below are some of his highlights from this past summer with the Middlesex Magic.
