Kerby D1 Bound
Brooks School and Mass Rivals senior forward Keigan Kerby announced his commitiment to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga on Tuesday.
His decision comes after taking an official visit to Chattanooga's campus this past weekend.
Words can’t describe how blessed I am to be in this position... Thanks to everyone that made it possible, and everyone that said it was impossible... #GoMocs pic.twitter.com/q7nogD8Chr

Kerby's ability to reach the division I level is a tribute to his perseverence. The talented 6-foot-7 forward once held offers as high as the Atlantic 10 but has battled injuries throughout his high school career including, most recently, a fractured foot that cost him his entire grassroots season.
He returned to the court shortly after July and returned to his old form much quicker than expected. He went on to help Brooks win their latest NEPSAC Class B championship, earning tournament MVP honors.
Both of his coaches expressed their pride in Kerby on Tuesday shortly after he made his decision public.
"Words can't describe how happy I am for Keigan Kerby," Rivals director Vin Pastore said. "This exceptional young man made the Mass Rivals, the Brooks School, the Merrimack Valley, and Southern New Hampshire all so very proud."
"So incredibly proud and happy for Keigan Kerby," Brooks head coach John McVeigh said on twitter. "We've never had a player go through more adversity in their four years of high school. He had a terrific senior year and has grown so much. It is a testament to his perseverance, talent, work ethic, and grit."
Below are some of Kerby's highlights from the Scholar Roundball Classic care of Buzzer Beater Media.
