Integrity Hoops Showcase - Event Recap

Integrity Hoops of Exeter, New Hampshire held an open workout for college coaches on Wednesday, August 17th.  Integrity Hoops offers year round basketball training for players of all ages and is run by Noah LaRoche, a member of the staff at Attack Athletics in Chicago.  Noah has also served as a trainer for the 2011 Chinese National Champions and as a coach at the Tilton School.  Current high school players who have trained with Noah this summer participated in the workout, which took place at Berwick Academy in Maine.  The majority of the event was a 48 minute game featuring 20 players from the program.  These are the players who stood out at the workout:

Harry Rafferty (Berwick Academy, ME) continued his strong play, knocking down multiple 3 point shots, getting into the lane and demonstrating his ability to serve as a team’s point guard.  His devotion to physical training and skill work has helped him to become an efficient player and outstanding shooter who is maximizing his potential.

Kamahl Walker (Portsmouth HS, NH) Kamahl was extremely disruptive on the defensive end, keeping the game close by getting steals in the passing lanes and using his speed, quickness and savvy to make the plays and finish in the open court.  Kamahl also demonstrated an ability to make tough shots from all over the floor en route to scoring 35 points in the scrimmage.  He will be one of the top point guards in NH public school basketball in 2012.

Tom Nason (Nute HS, NH) made his presence felt in the game scoring by shooting hooks over both shoulders, hitting fifteen footers and knocking down his foul shots.  At 6’10, he is an intriguing prospect who rebounded well and is beginning to bother and block shots the way that is expected by someone of his size.  He possesses a decent frame and looks to be a good college prospect, especially if he enrolls at a prep school and works hard over the next two years.

Aaron Todd (York HS, ME) established himself as a post scorer early in the contest and was the most physical guy on the floor.  By the end of the event, he was on a solid streak of knocking down 3’s.  As a player, who is going into his junior year, he is definitely a guy to watch.  He appears to be a prototypical face up forward who can hit the shots, make the decisions and mix it up inside.

Matt Barr (Exeter HS. NH) was another junior who stood out as a good college prospect.  Matt has great shooting mechanics and range.  He competes hard and is blessed with good speed and quickness.  He plays both guard positions but probably is best coming off screens and knocking down shots.

Caleb Unni (Tilton School, NH) is entering a post grad year at Tilton School after a good career at Winchester HS, MA.  A slick, quick point guard, who shot and finished well in the scrimmage, Caleb also made his presence felt on defense.

Kevin Crescenzi (Tilton School, NH) is 6’3, strong and tenacious.  After playing well at two of Hoop Mountain’s events, the Florida native has attracted a following of division 2 and high academic division 3 programs.  Kevin does a little of everything on the floor and has shown some ability to shoot the ball.  An incoming post grad at Tilton School, he figures to be a nice addition to their team.

Other guys who showed promise were juniors Dominick Paradis and Nick MacGregor from Spaulding HS in New Hampshire and Zach Leal of York HS in Maine.  These are three good athletes with skill who play inside and out and will be very productive players for their high school teams.
