Gillespie Freshman All-American Honorable Mention

Max Preps announced their 2010-2011 Freshmen All-American Team earlier this week, and Levy Gillespie Jr. was the sole New England representative to make the cut.

Gillespie was one of ten players named honorable mention to follow five players on the first, second, and third teams respectively.

Gillespie averaged close to 17 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists per game last year in helping to lead Capital to a 21-5 record.  This is the second consecutive year that Capital has placed a player on the Freshmen All-American team following Kahlil Dukes selection a year ago.

New York native Isaiah Whitehead was named to the first team.  Whitehead starred at the Northeast Hoops Festival earlier this month with his Juice All-Stars team.

Selections were based on statistics, team success, and other honors from the recently completed season according to the Max Preps release.
