Fisher Earns NE-10 Opportunity
We Believe Academy forward recently announced his commitment to St. Michael’s, a division II school in Vermont.
Before coming to WBA, Fisher played at Woodstock Academy. He was an integral part of WA’s 2022 AA Power 5 Conference championship squad. One of his best games was against Redemption Christian Academy. He had 22 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals.
With WA’s prep program shutting down, his next step was at WBA. Fisher adjusted well to his new teammates. He had a big game against Notre Dame-West Haven, going for 27 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists.
WBA head coach Ta’Quan Zimmerman and assistant coach Brian Stasaitis provided some additional insight on Fisher’s growth and decision.
“Eddie took huge strides from the moment he got here. We threw a bunch of different challenges offensively and defensively at him, but he embraced every single one. He is a very hard worker and great kid. The biggest thing we saw in Eddie is how versatile he can be at 6’6. He can guard multiple positions defensively and play the 2-4 offensively.”
“We think he will be a great fit at St. Michael’s because he can be an impact player right away. This is because of his size, length, and athleticism. However, time will tell. One thing we know for sure is that if you challenge him, he is not going to back down!”
Fisher becomes the first member of WBA’s 2023 class who has committed to play college basketball next year at a scholarship school.
