Duvivier Earns Full Scholarship
Springfield Commonwealth Academy post-graduate Jonathan Duvivier is headed to college on a full athletic scholarship following Saturday's commitment to Post University and first year head coach Marc Kuntz.
Duvivier arrived at Springfield's Commonwealth Academy following a terrific career at Brockton High School. In fact, he is one of only two players in Brockton history to score more than 1,000 career points and the program's all-time leading scorer.
A three range scoring threat who is capable of putting points on the board in bunches, Duvivier's emergence at Commonwealth happened mid-way through his post-graduate season after Shyheim Hicks went down with a season ending injury.
Duvivier stepped into the team's starting two-guard role and averaging over 17 points per game for the rest of the season, helping the Tornados make their first apperance in the National Prep Championship field.
He becomes the fifth player from Commonwealth's 2017 class to accept a full athletic scholarship as he joins Hicks (Long Island), Hasahn French (St. Louis), Tony Boetang (Sacred Heart), and Jordan Vidal (AIC).
Below are highlights, care of Mike Yagmin, of arguably Duvivier's best performance in a Commonwealth jersey, when he knocked down 8 threes against Bridgton Academy.
