Duncan Commits to NJIT
Recently, it was announced that Putnam Science and New Haven Heat 2024 guard Que Duncan had committed to NJIT.
The guard is a true New Englander through and through, as he rose up the ranks out of Connecticut, and made his way to the Division 1 level.
Upon entering high school it was evident that Duncan’s upside was that of a Division One prospect. Amidst the pandemic he was named to the top 75 underclassmen to watch in the virtual Elite 75 Frosh/Soph showcase.
As a freshman, he factored into Sacred Heart’s NVL championship alongside his brother Tre, before transferring to Notre Dame West Haven’s prep program.
At Notre Dame West Haven, Duncan continued to flourish and blossom as a scholarship prospect. He eclipsed the 1,000 point mark and earned Power Five all-conference honors multiple times.
This past season, the guard transferred to Putnam Science where he played a role in the team’s run to the National Prep Championship final.
Following the season, it was announced that Duncan would be reclassing into the class of 2025 at Putnam Science, before he ultimately decided to forgo that decision, committing to NJIT in the incoming class of 2028.
In an excerpt posted on the NJIT basketball website, head coach Grant Billmeier expressed his excitement of Duncan joining the team: “We're very excited to welcome Quentin into our program… [he] will bring a winning pedigree with him and we're excited to get to work with him this summer.”
At the next level, Duncan brings impressive two-way skills at the guard spot. He brings defensive prowess on-ball, a nose for rebounds and can light it up as a scorer.
Moving down to New Jersey very soon, Duncan’s impact for NJIT will be much anticipated.
