Dunbury Accepts Full Ride
Bourne High School and Rise Above Basketball big man Cam Dunbury made a verbal commitment to the College of St. Rose earlier this week, accepted their full athletic scholarship offer.
St. Rose was one of the two division II schools to offer Dunbury a scholarship following the release of his Unsigned Senior Spotlight.
Dunbury is a late-blooming 6-foot-10 big man who has improved by leaps and bounds within the last year.
"Cam has made enormous steps in his development," Rise Above director Brendan Carter said while head coach Rico DePaolis echoed that sentiment saying, "Cam is one of the more efficient and effective players in the area."
Dunbury will provide a unique rim protector at the division II levels with an offensive game that is quickly catching up. He moves well for his size and could just be scratching the surface of his potential.
He was poised for a break-out spring before the grassroots season was cancelled due to the current coronavirus.
