2026 NJ Frosh/Soph #E75 Recap - Best of the Guards pt. 3

Charles Kuo, Syosset - Kuo is a vocal floor general who plays with a physical edge. He drives hard in straight lines, powering through contact in traffic to score around the basket. He knocks down shots off the catch or dribble and constantly directs traffic to move people around as a passer and keep the offense flowing.

Aidyn Bynoe, St. Anthony's - Bynoe plays with a smooth, creative cadence off the dribble that keeps defenders off balance. At 6'2", he changes speeds smoothly to reach his spots in the mid-range or paint, and he pushes the pace in the open floor while staying under control and limiting mistakes.

Evan Pacetti, Father Judge - Pacetti stands out immediately with his 6'4" frame and long reach. Defensively, his active hands poke balls loose or tip passes on almost every possession. Once he turns those stops into transition opportunities, he can use his height to see over the defense and drop pinpoint lead passes down court.

Andrew Cuzio, Iona Prep - The Iona Prep freshman guard has a ton of shooting range and makes the extra pass when necessary at the point. He's a strong ball handler with the ability to beat people off the dribble to get to his spots in the mid-range or to the basket, while also bringing some vision to playmake for his teammates.

Jonathan Toledo, Warren Hills - Toledo has an impressive instinct for tracking missed shots and finding soft spots in the defense. He regularly sneaks in from the perimeter or dunker spot to haul in offensive boards for putbacks. When he catches the ball inside, he doesn't rush it, using patient footwork to let defenders fly past before going up.

Brayden Olivo, Bergen Catholic - Olivo brings pure energy every time he steps on the floor. At 5'9", he doesn't back down from physical play, using his body well to absorb contact and finish layups in traffic. Defensively, he sets the tone for his unit by calling out screens, talking continuously, and staying attached to his man's hip.

Sergio DeRojas, Gill St. Bernard - DeRojas is a versatile guard who can impact the game in a variety of ways, with a sound shooting stroke giving him value as a floor spacer. He is also a vocal presence on both ends, consistently communicating with teammates and helping keep the group organized defensively.

Vihaan Verma, Rutgers Prep - Verma is the ultimate glue guy who impacts winning through pure work ethic. At 6'3", he locks in on his off-ball defensive rotations, and he crashes the boards hard enough on both ends to routinely make himself known on at that end of the floor.

Saathvik Vasudevan , Rutgers Prep - Vasudevan brings patience and maturity to the court. He refuses to take contested or rushed looks, holding the ball until a high-percentage option opens up. At 6'0", he also swoops in from the perimeter to grab tough rebounds in traffic.

Nolan Tenenbaum, Livingston HS - The lefty shotmaker shows a strong understanding of the game, with his decision-making reflecting a well-coached player. He rarely forces the issue offensively, consistently reading the defense and making the right play rather than hunting his own shot. His combination of shotmaking and unselfishness makes him a valuable piece within a team offense.

Colin Jordan, Manasquan - Jordan is a long, athletic guard with the physical tools to develop into a bigger backcourt piece. He plays with a noticeable chip on his shoulder and competes with an edge, while his feel for the game allows him to consistently make the right reads and keep the offense moving.

Denard Nicolas, St. Joe's Metuchen - Denard is a capable catch-and-shoot threat from beyond the arc, showing a compact release and the confidence to let it fly when his feet are set. His ability to space the floor and punish defenders who lose track of him gives him value as an off-ball scoring option.

Julius Pinero, Bloomfield - What Pinero lacks in height at 5'3", he makes up for with raw quickness off the bounce. He easily blows past his primary defender to get into the lane, forcing interior help to make a choice. From there, he lofts high-arching floaters over length or kicks it out for rhythm three-pointers.

Aiden Rodriguez, St. Joe's Regional - Rodriguez provided steady two-way guard play, staying shot-ready and knocking down open looks from three. His defensive intensity stood out as well, applying consistent ball pressure to force turnovers and quickly turning those stops into easy points on the other end.

Nathan Rivera, St. Mary's - Rivera shows good feel as a guard, constantly moving off the ball to create better angles and stay involved in the action. He also handles pressure well in tight spaces, using a strong handle to navigate traffic, while his defensive toughness and activity give him value on both ends.

Robert Bosoy, Bridgewater-Raritan - Bosoy’s speed stands out in transition, where he covers ground quickly and does a good job relocating to stay involved in the play. His high-arc jumper gives him a reliable scoring tool on the perimeter, particularly when he can get his feet set and rise into his shot.
