CT Open Gym ‘25 Frontcourt Standouts pt. 2

Continuing on with what was a loaded group of wings, forwards, and centers, here's part two of the standouts in the frontcourt.

Karell Brown, Frederick Gunn: Brown brings a budding reputation with him to Gunn as the Bunnell transfer excelled for his hometown school where he won two state titles before transferring in this fall. The 6'5" wing can really make a difference as a slasher, playing with a motor and getting to the rim. His ability to defend across the floor is another standout trait he provides.

Bryan Camacho, Brunswick: Camacho is an intriguing wing prospect with a blend of guard skills to his game. He brings a ton of length to the position, using his plus wingspan to cover passing lanes and finish above the rim. His ability to score the ball at different levels will be a big factor for Brunswick this year.

Nasir Dunlap, Greens Farms: A big 6'4" wing, Dunlap has upside to keep an eye on as he looks to be a focal point at GFA this winter. The junior can score the ball at mulitple levels, seamlessly rising into pull-up jumpers or powering his way to the rim. Dunlap brings two-way skills to the floor as well, defending the ball at a high level.

Eddie Fiske Jr, Old Lyme: Fiske brings winning experience to the court as he's been a part of two state championship games to start his career. Standing at 6'4", he impacts the game as a scorer from outside and in the post with some good footwork and power to get around the defense. The junior will look to once again make his mark in the state tournament this upcoming season, and will be a top player in the CIAC.

Oscar Matomba, Academy of Science: Matomba was a pleasant surprise on the night as the CIAC senior helped put himself on the map. While he possesses a somewhat raw skillset, the physical traits he brings to the floor as a 6'6" forward with length and athleticism are undeniable. Keep an eye out for how his final season in New Britain plays out this winter.

Sebastian Guete-Ramirez, Berkshire : A senior returner to Berkshire, Guete-Ramirez will be a big factor for the program as they look to continue building under Wilbur Allen. The big wing is a serviceable shooter off the catch that makes shots in bunches. He's key for the Bears as a competitive rebounder and tough defender as well.

Andre Singleton, NYMA: Singleton is a big body forward that colleges are going to want to check out if they haven't already. He uses his big frame well to get aggressive on the boards, creating second-chance opportunities for his team. He's switchable defensively, can step out to hit three's, and pressures the rim as a threat to dunk.

Tyler Bergquist, Avon Old Farms: Bergquist makes his mark as a shooter that can convert his shots in multiple ways with his fluid release on the ball. He does a great job of getting out in transition and attacking the basket as he can finish through contact. Enters his junior season at Avon this year with an expanded role in sight.

Devin Rodriguez Guilbe, Canterbury: Guilbe is a sound senior high-academic prospect that will help a college program. The 6'4" wing showed off his defensive skills on the night, guard multiple positions on the floor and creating deflections. Offensively, he does a good job of getting to his spots, or attacking lanes to score inside.

Ryan Sserunkuma, Macduffie: Sserunkuma is a wing shooter with decent size making the move to Macduffie this year. On Friday, he spaced the floor from beyond the arc, while also showing some intriguing flashes of pull-up shooting.

Alimou DIallo, Macduffie: A Guinean big man in the beginning stages of his development. Diallo possesses soft natural touch around the rim and upside as a physical rebounder. Continuing to work on sculpting his frame will be crucial.

Tommy Dinunzio, Lewis Mills: Dinunzio is fresh off a big sophomore season, looking to pick things back up where he left off. The 6’3” wing has strong footwork inside, playing well off too, and making shots over contesting defenders. He makes sound decisions on the perimeter to either get right into Shots or take it strong to the basket.

Zach Fallquist, Greens Farms: Fallquist has a well-rounded skill set, contributing in many different facets of the game. He's got some size on the wing and can shoot it at an efficient rate. He's able to attack the basket off the rip and absorb contact to finish and get to the line.

Kingston Pitt, Brunswick: Pitt transfers in to an up and coming Brunswick school squad this fall and will play a solid role in their rotation. A 6'4" wing, Pitt's ability to lock in and get competitive on the defensive end gives his team a major advantage. While his calling card is defense, he's able to secure rebounds at a good clip and get to the basket to score.

Eamon Meehan, NYMA: Meehan brings a coveted asset that college coaches seek from the wing position these days; "3 & D." He does a great job of uisng his size and length to guard the ball, while serving as a secondary scorer off the catch and bounce.

Paul Lambert, Canterbury: Lambert is an intriguing power forward prospect joining Canterbury from France. At 6'9", the 2026 can shoot it well from outside, and will be a solid floor spacing option for Coach Fruscio. We wil be keeping an eye on his post game in future viewings.

Joseph Teixeira, Grasso Tech: Teixeira will be a name to monitor as he heads into his freshman season at Grasso Tech this winter. The 6'7" forward looks to earn a varsity spot and continue to work on impacting the game in the post from the jump.

Jaden Milord, NYMA: Another rugged forward prospect out of the NY Military Academy, Milord will be a strong contributor to the team this winter. Standing at 6'6" with some muscle to his frame, Milord's athleticism allows him to alter shots, defend well and score the ball on offense.

James Percival, Southington: A junior forward flying under the radar at Southington high school, keep an eye out for Percival as a potential breakout player this winter. He has glaring size at 6'6" with some versatility in that he can impact the game as a shooter and a shotblocker.

Luke Everitt, Avon Old Farms: Everitt enters his sophomore season at AOF with a steady role in hand while making strides in his game. His movement and energy at his size allow him to switch onto bigger and smaller players defensively. He scores it well both off the catch and off the bounce, doing a great job of getting to his spots.

Sebastian Cebulski, Newtown HS: An incoming freshman at Newtown, Cebulski stands at 6'3" already and has some upside to monitor. The forward does a great job of scoring inside, using his soft touch to make shots over contesting defenders. Celbulski's rebounding motor is notable as well as he often creates second chance opportunities.
